About - Jay Slayyy:

Jazmine “Jay Slayyy” Black is an up and coming recording artist and urban model hailing from

Saginaw, Michigan.

At a young age, Jay developed a skill set for hairstyling and designing custom clothes which gave her

the nickname “Jay Slayyy” - her work ethic was inspired by her grandmother who taught her that

persistence and hard work does pay off.

As a model, Jay was featured in a few music videos by various artists coming up in the midwest -

most notably the Dre Banks ft. Trina single, “Boyfriend, Girlfriend '' in which she had a principal role.

After dropping numerous song covers and freestyles on Tik Tok and Instagram for a few years,

Jay tested her skills by recording her 1st feature verse on a song called ‘Here For” with a local artist.

It caught the attention of Grammy nominated music producer, Baby Paul - producer for artists like: Nas,

AZ, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Dj Clue, Kanye West, others.

Baby Paul took interest in her talent and potential which led to Jay Slayyy recording a catalog of

songs together and shooting a street music video in Queens, NYC for a song called “Be Great”.

Now becoming a recognized new artist with a buzz, Jay is preparing her 1st mixtape called

“The Slayyy Wayyy” set for a summer, 2024 release which will include collaborations from other up

and coming midwest based artists like: Dre Banks, Big Play, Trey Osama, Daya the Model,
